Moondance Cancer Initiative is a philanthropic funder and supporter of brilliant people with brave ideas dedicated to making cancer outcomes in Wales better and fairer. With an energising track record of backing innovation and impact, we are establishing an expert Clinical Advisory Group to sustain, strengthen and diversify advice and insight and drive the next phase of our development.
We are looking to appoint six clinicians to be part of our advisory group. We want to bring together a diverse group at different stages of professional life, all with expertise in cancer, that share our belief that better is possible. Group membership will encompass a range of specialties including diagnostics, oncology, surgery, and primary care. While it is not essential that members are working in Wales, you will share our ambition to find solutions so that more people in Wales survive cancer and are motivated to be part of fuelling innovation in a supportive and tangible way.
You will commit to meeting twice a year – once all together in person – and to be available to advise, advocate and assure us regarding relevant plans and projects from time to time. In return, you will be working with an energized, expert, creative and committed group of fellow clinicians and Moondance Cancer staff. You’ll see the impact of your contribution making a difference in Wales, where cancer outcomes remain poor and where people from the most deprived communities are the most likely to die of cancer.
More information, including the role profile for members, can be found in the member pack at the bottom of the page.
